Heavy rainfall hazard maps Kaiserslautern

The city of Kaiserslautern has published the heavy rainfall hazard maps created with SplashTool. The maps optimized for web publication can be downloaded and viewed here. In addition, the city provides further information.

More sample results

The calculation results are output as GeoTIFFs and can be visualized in a map using a GIS. Several sample result visualizations were created for sections of cities in North Rhine-Westphalia. For this purpose, the excellent open geodata platform NRW and the geodata services NRW were used.

The results are based on unverified base data and serve solely to demonstrate the visualization. Therefore, recurrence intervals and rainfall amounts, although used in the analysis, were intentionally omitted. For analysis and planning, only the maps officially published by the municipalities are authoritative.
