Almost three years ago, I had the idea for SplashTool. What started as a rather rudimentary command-line program has now evolved into optimized software that is already in use at several engineering firms and one public client.
I’m proud of that, and I’m happy to be able to provide added value with SplashTool in the current field of climate change adaptation!
Through the feedback from the beta test in June this year and my exchange with users, SplashTool has now reached a good functional level. In 2023, I will make minor changes, including an update to the latest program versions of some base libraries, and also planned is a further updated installer that offers the same functions with a smaller program size.
We are in the age of digital transformation, not least accelerated by the Corona crisis. The title image of this post shows what is already possible today with artificial intelligence, and so I wish you Merry Christmas with the graphic of a Santa Claus in a flooded town generated by DALL-E 2, a good start into the new year, and dry feet!
