Download SplashTool

Before downloading SplashTool, check the Cuda Compute Capability of your Nvidia Graphics card here. If you have a card with a compute capability of 7.5 or higher, download SplashTool 4.1.. If your compute capability is from 3.5 to 7.5, download SplashTool 4.0.. If your Compute Capability is lower than 3.5, or if you do not have a Nvidia GPU, you may still download any version of SplashTool, but you cannot use the GPU for computation.

SplashTool 4.1 – Changelog

  • Update Cudatoolkit to version 12.8 in order to support the newest Nvidia cards. The previous version 4.0 is the last version that supports Nvidia cards with a compute capability lower than 7.5.

SplashTool 4.0 – Changelog

  • Reworked GPU compute core with another significant performance increase.
  • Automatic hardware detection selects GPU or CPU mode depending on the available graphics card. CPU mode can be forced in the advanced settings.
  • More robust license validation: Single-user licenses remain valid even if individual hardware components are replaced. Single-user licenses for Version 4 must be requested again.
  • Removal of the legacy flow accumulation method. It was still included in Version 3 for backward compatibility with old iteration runs and has now been removed in favor of the improved method.
  • Updated look and feel: In addition to the existing light mode, a dark mode is now available. Selected buttons are color-highlighted to improve usability. Numerous small UI refinements enable more intuitive operation.
  • Language and appearance settings can now be changed directly in the graphical user interface. Manual edits of configuration files are no longer required.
  • Persistent settings: Input and output paths and other settings are retained when closing SplashTool and remain available until the next system restart.
  • Progress bar: A progress bar is displayed during iteration. Progress is an approximate estimate.
  • Bug fix: SplashTool now correctly locates configuration and license files even when started from the command line outside the root directory.
